“Le sequoie sono alberi affascinanti. Hanno uno sviluppo verticale fortissimo. Sembra quasi vogliano toccare il cielo. Alcuni raggiungono addirittura i 100 metri di altezza! Certo, per riuscirci è necessario avere radici molto forti. Ma non basta. Questi alberi hanno imparato che è necessario nutrirsi anche dal cielo. Hanno imparato a sfruttare l'umidità presente nella nebbiolina californiana. Si calcola infatti che, in un anno, una sequoia prenda dal 13% al 45% dell'acqua a lei necessaria dalla nebbiolina.
Quindi, radici forti e nutrirsi dal cielo per raggiungere il cielo.”
